Hello, my name is Mike Warren and I make stuff.
As a design engineer I build functional prototypes out of whatever I can get my hands on, the results explore the intersection of functionality with whimsical absurdity. My aim is to learn, inspire, educate, and entertain. The results can be messy, but are always fun!
I've created 250+ projects on Instructables for makers of all skill levels. My projects are carefully documented and open-source so you can easily make them yourself or be inspired and remix the ideas in your own way.
As an author, I write books that I wish I had growing up, aimed at curious minds of all ages and skill levels.
My work has been featured worldwide in print media like Wired, The New York Times, Popular Science, C|NET,
and New Scientist
. I've also had my projects shown on Jimmy Kimmel Live, Daily Planet, Discovery
, and The Science Channel
I sometimes make videos of things Cut In Half on YouTube.
